Across the Borough of Wandsworth we are indeed blessed with trees – in our parks, in our gardens and by the riverside. Plainly an asset that we treasure.
But if the trees on our streets could speak, they probably would raise certain alarms about their very future existence.
Clearly the Council agonises long and hard over the correct balance between concrete and trees …
But when it comes to decisions between hard wood and hard cash …. we leave you to guess in which direction they will lean.
We will soon be linking this site with a new information service managed by the noble tree wardens of the Borough. Their voices will be heard both here and elsewhere.
John – now eventually we might be getting somewhere ! If enough people support this site they will certainly learn some truths. It is time indeed that the voices of local people be heard …. Keep it coming …. upwards and onwards …. Len James – (whose own voice will never be silenced),

John – as ever you are right. Our council should really respect the existence of natural beauty – rather than mere concrete and glass. We now hope that they will think more about the future of where and how we live. We all prefer green parks to car parks. Keep up the good work. Best wishes. Arvids.
